Sarah Abolail (sabolail@uci.edu) is a Ph.D. Candidate and Nevin Fellow at the University of California, Irvine. Her areas of concentration include American Studies, Migration Studies, and Global Revolutionary Movements. Sarah’s current dissertation project explores a long history of American Muslim racialization and its peculiar connection to the U.S.’s nation form. Sarah is also interested in re-imagining institutional spaces. She is the co-founder and president of the Critical Race Collective, a collaborative space focused on identifying, discussing, and responding to problems of race and representation within the academy.
