Purnima Bose is a professor of English and International Studies at Indiana University where she also serves as the Academic Director for the India Global Gateway Office in New Delhi. She is the author of Organizing Empire: Individualism, India, Collective Agency and Intervention Narratives: Afghanistan, the United States, and the Global War on Terror. With Laura E. Lyons, she has co-edited Cultural Critique and the Global Corporation and a special issue of the journal Biography on corporate personhood. Bose’s most recent articles treat the relationship between counter-insurgency and post-humanism, military occupation and gender, and authoritarianism and covid-19 and have appeared in the Critique of Anthropology, Situations, and Against the Current.
