Jordan Alexander Stein (jstein10@fordham.edu) teaches in the English Department and the Comparative Literature Program at Fordham University, where he is also Affiliated Faculty in African and African American Studies. He is co-editor of Early African American Print Culture (Penn, 2012) and author most recently of When Novels Were Books (Harvard, 2020) and Fantasies of Nina Simone (Duke, 2024). He is currently researching the history of printing and reading in the eighteenth-century Caribbean.
