Ben Baer is Associate Professor of Comparative Literature at Princeton. In the wake of Marx’s third thesis on Feuerbach, he continues to work on theories and practices of teaching and learning for epistemic and social change. The book that came out of a first attempt to develop this thought in a broadly postcolonial context is Indigenous Vanguards: Education, National Liberation, and the Limits of Modernism (2019). Work continues in different directions. Baer also translates fiction and prose from Bengali.
