Asha Nadkarni (nadkarni@english.umass.edu) is Associate Professor of English and the Director of American Studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is the author of Eugenic Feminism: Reproductive Nationalism in the United States and India (University of Minnesota Press, 2014), and co-editor (with Cathy Schlund-Vials) of Asian American Literature in Transition, 1965-1996 (Cambridge University Press, 2021). Her research and teaching interests include postcolonial literature and theory, transnational feminist theory, and Asian American studies, with an emphasis on the literatures and cultures of the South Asian diaspora.
